VAT

Generally, VAT at 20% is due on all products featured on the Mobility Aids UK website.

Mobility Aids UK is pleased to be able to sell the majority of the products on this website without VAT to those entitled.

If you are chronically sick or disabled, most items at Mobility Aids UK are available free of VAT if you are buying them for personal and domestic use and they are relevant to your condition.

To claim VAT relief, the individual or individuals living at the delivery address provided, must have a relevant disability.

This gives scope for relief to be claimed even if you are buying on behalf of of someone entitled to exemption.

If you are in any doubt as to your status, please check with your local Customs and Excise VAT office who will be able to confirm your eligibility or visit this Government website: www.direct.gov.uk.

In many circumstances, charities in the UK do not have to pay VAT.

Delivery

The majority of orders placed before 12pm are despatched on the following day.

Typically, delivery is within two or three working days if its a scooter or wheelchair could be slightly longer between five to seven working days.

Occasional delays caused by items going out of stock are possible, but we work hard to keep these instances to a minimum, some of our products are ordered from the supplier as and when we need them so there is a possibility of a delay but we will let you know.

Orders are despatched by courier and will require a signature most of the time, while certain low weight items may be sent by Royal Mail.

Some orders may be delivered by third parties. In these cases any information passed on will only be used only for purposes of delivering the goods.

If you have a specific enquiry about your order, please email us at the email address above, quoting your order reference, and we’ll be happy to help.

We do offer a white glove delivery service within a 75 mile radius of postcode ST3 1BW Stoke-on-Trent, the cost of this is £75.

Handling, Carriage and Packaging

One standard carriage charge for orders under £75 Net. Our standard carriage charge is £4.25 which will be added at checkout, orders over £75 Net will be free delivery

Right of Access

You have the right to access and update your personal data or to require its deletion.

If you wish to correct details held by Mobility Aids UK, please email info@mobilityaidsuk.co.uk.

No charge will be levied for complying with a correction request, however, for all other requests we may charge a small fee to cover our costs.

Requests to delete personal data will be subject to any applicable legal and ethical reporting or document filing or retention obligations imposed on us.

Spamming

Mobility Aids UK is against spamming- the practice of sending unsolicited emails in large numbers and repeatedly to individuals with whom the sender has had no previous contact or who have declined to receive such communications.

Where we believe that certain information could be of importance to you we reserve the right to inform you by email while giving you the choice to opt out of such services.

Payment

We accept payment by most major UK-issued debit and credit cards. Orders are positively card sanctioned prior to despatch.

Please ensure any details you enter are correct as Mobility Aids UK can accept no responsibility if the order is delayed as a result of incorrect details being given.

Cheques are accepted by post and should be made payable to Brighter Ways Mobility.

Complaints

Mobility Aids UK will always do our upmost to deliver goods which conform with consumer rights.

However, if you do have a complaint, please contact us.

If you are unhappy with the outcome of a complaint and you are dissatisfied with our responses, you can approach the British Healthcare Trades Association (BHTA)

We do however do our best to make all our customers happy however when we do need to deal with complaints we will do our best to make sure we put things right.

Prices

While we endeavour to keep prices accurate we may be unable to supply the goods at the price shown due to unforeseen circumstances.

In this instance we will contact you and you will have the opportunity to modify or cancel your order.

We accept Bulk orders from charities, Residencial Homes, Care Homes, NHS and other companies. Discounts maybe available for bulk orders.
